"There's a natural mystic blowing through the air;
If you listen carefully now you will hear" Robert Nesta Marley

Photos taken by Hiro and our friend AZK at Mwenge Carver's Market in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

I'm curious. How do these photos make you feel?

  1. Love these...they are so cool. The first one is amazing. They make me feel curious, like I want to explore, ask questions about what I'm seeing to the person who put them there or who knows about it. Makes me think of history, beliefs. I love it. xx

  3. To me there is something very haunting and evocative about these shots - I think it may be to do with the lack of colour, and all the open mouths on the masks that seem to be screaming, but I can't quite point out what it is that gives me a chill when I see them.

  4. Like a dark, sinister film. Or cultural documentary. Very eerie.
