London has been so cold and with this bout of persistent snow, it's been hard for me to keep warm! In my defence, I was born on the equator where our weather is much much kinder than here and despite the fact that I have been here for AGES, I can't get used to bitter winters!
Also, this is the month in which I lost my mother many many years ago (when I was 10). Strangely, I still cannot escape the lingering pain neither can I reconcile myself with the hole she left in my heart. January is indeed a month of cold hands and cold hearts for me. Grief is something we can never really shake off it's just about learning to live with it in a positive way.
I've been keeping my feet from slipping with my trusty Hunters. They are great in the snow so long as they are accompanied with a pair a of tights and a couple of pairs of socks to keep the cold from nipping at my toes!
Keep warm.

ReplyDeleteYeah, neither do I like snow and cold weather. :( I love sea, ocean, sun, blue sky, flip-flops. January is one of those strange months I am not fond of. Anyway, whishing you a lot of cups of warm tea/hot chocolate/warm drinks/anything warm...:) Sandra
ReplyDeleteP.S. I am not participating in your giveaway.
it's not just you, i can't get warm either. my circulation is terrible, i have a bit of a condition though we haven't managed to get to the bottom of it yet. dr's app next week. that's sad, you were so young when she left you. you must be a really strong person, i do know how it feels. not the same but my dad did one when my mum was pregnant with me and i still wonder what a difference another parent could have made. neither good or bad, just curious.
ReplyDeletecould i enter please, they're acesters!
Oh, I am definitely entering (I love anything miniature!) - seems like a lot of places this year have been hit with snow! Calgary certainly seems to have more of it than usual :P

Yeah even though where i am living we dont get snow the winters here are terrible cause the cold goes right to the bone and the rain never seems to end in winter. But in a way as its summer now i totally miss winter cause i love cuddling up on the couch working on a blog post while sipping my coffee and watching the rain outside!
Again love your posts, love your blog, love you!

ReplyDelete*hugs* I'm always here whenever you want a chat or an adventure :) xxx <3
I don't think I'll ever get used to cold weather, even though I've always lived in a place that has cold winters. I just don't like being cold, I think I was born in the wrong place, haha. I have a warm soul, haha! I hope it gets warmer for all of us soon :)) xx
ReplyDeleteFrom someone who was born and lived in a tropical country, I still find the cold, snow etc very refreshing. I could have lots of hot hocilate and tea! Having said that I get a cold easily in this weather ^^;
ReplyDeleteVery sorry about your loss at a tender age...I felt a bit sad reading your words. But memories never go away so cherish them.
Spring is round the corner....
