Sleeping with Soy Milk

My skin needs an extra hit of moisture when the radiators turn on and so I often turn to "sleeping masks" for a night time skin treat.

\\ Skinfood Fermented Soy Milk Wrinkle Care Sleeping Mask.

The sleeping mask contains adenosine which is an ingredient derived from yeast and is often considered to be an anti-inflammatory ingredient. Together wit soy milk, this is purported to provide continuous moisture through the night leaving your skin smooth and more resilient to wrinkles.

The packaging is great! I love the hygienic pump bottle. It works really well and dispenses the milky gel-like in just the right amount.

The sleeping mask is scented but is a clean inoffensive fragance. I use in the evenings after applying a serum and moisturiser and only on those evenings when my skin still feels a bit tight. The mask slides onto the skin and sinks in quickly with no icky-stickiness.

My skin does feel moisturised in the morning. I can't say that it has spirited away my wrinkles, but I am not too worried about them yet! I would repurchase this. I think it would be brilliant on long flights and as an summer after-sun treatment too.

When compared to the Laneige Sleeping Mask, I would say that this was better at replenishing moisture to my dry skin. Laneige would work better for those with combo/oilier or work better for me in the summer.

  4. Ohhh, this sounds very interesting! I'll need to put it on my wish list for when my friends go to Korea, which is at least 4 times a year. They always ask me what I want and I never know what to ask for.

Thank you for the excellent review!

  6. This sounds promising! I'm curious about your skincare routine - I own exactly one serum, and it's used to retain moisture but seems to only sit on skin until morning. I'm assuming you use this with a serum that more easily penetrates skin then, right?

Spirited Away would have been so much different if Haku's whole purpose was to rid San of wrinkles. New headcanon accepted.

  7. This sounds like exactly what I've been looking for! I'm used to living by the ocean where the air is moist and thus my skin is, too. Having recently moved inland, I've experienced so many hair and skin challenges and the latest one is winter dryness. No matter how my day moisturiser I slather on, it just doesn't completely deal with the problem. Must try this ASAP!
