Smoother Smoocher

I must have gone through an arsenal of lip balms in my time. However, very few have been re-purchased over the years. Here are my favourites:

\\ Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid is a firm and constant favourite and the one I run to when things get bad. This is the best one to keep with you on long flights and during extreme climate conditions. It forgives everything like a priest at confession!

\\ Crabtree & Evelyn's nicely packaged Citron Créme & Honey Lip Butter is an excellent night time treat. I wouldn't use it blindly in the day as it is white and takes some smoothing for it to sink into the lips. However, the reward for my hard work is to wake with smooth lips!

\\ The Japanese company Mentholatum have been around for yonks and their mentholated lip balms are a firm and constant favourite of my Mother-in-law and husband. I started using their Moiscube Lip because I liked the packaging but was soon bowled over by the performance of the product enough for this to be my everyday favourite. Minty fresh defender of smooth lips...I salute you!

  1. These sound great!
I love how they look as well <3
I've never heard of them before.
    Thanks for sharing <3

  2. I have been wanting to try the Lanolips but never had the time to! I think i will remember to pick some up next time as i think it will do wonders for my lips.
    Thanks for an awesome post.

  3. I am a lip balm addict. Not necessarily using, but purchasing. Would love to try the Lanolips one!

  4. i am super picky about lip balms too. i had no idea mentholatum had lip balms. i used to looove the minty balm when i was sick. lol

  5. Ooooh, I think I will have to find the Lanolips and Crabtree & Evelyn ones. I actually adore that line from Crabtree & Evelyn - I have the hand scrub and hand cream but I don't think they had the lip butter yet when I was still in San Diego (it's blasphemy that SF doesn't have a store, it kills me). My lips have been in a horrid dry state since I moved neighborhoods (it's not really that this one is dry, more so that the last one was so foggy and humid) and nothing I've tried has seemed to help, not even Nuxe's Reve de Miel or any of my old artillery (I would say I have a fairly ridiculous collection of lip balm...). I need to buck up and buy another tube of Aquaphor. But I think I will try to find those two first. I've heard lovely things about Lanolips and I've always really liked the lotion-y balms. Chanel's is one of my favorites but unfortunately it doesn't do for the heavy dryness. Thanks for the recommendations! :)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a note, they are the stuff that keeps us going.
