The Zam-Buk Kiss

I have 3 kiss worthy lip balms that I brought back with me from South Africa up for the grabbing today.

These Zam-Buk cherry menthol flavour balms sit pretty in their cute tins. They leave a glossy kiss of blushed colour in their wake and are powerhouses of protection against the elements.

I believe in Zam-Buk!

Zam-Buk is an institution with South African families and has been loved for many many generations as a traditional embrocation. Created in 1903 in Britain, this was first-aid balm treatment for cuts and abrasions. After the discovery of penicillin, it began to vanish from the shelves. However, Zam-Buk survives in it's original form in South Africa where it is used also for muscular aches, insect bites and more (think Tiger Balm but better). This recent innovation as a lip balm is just wonderful and I hope that a few of you may wish to win one of your own as it is not available outside of South Africa!

  1. Hi! I don't know if your competition is still open as it's after the date but I haven't seen any comments so I thought I'd leave one and hope for the best.

Your note on Zam Buk is really interesting; I haven't come across the company before until just recently...it was my birthday and my lovely South African friend gave me a little tin of cherry lip balm. When I put it on I couldn't believe how good it was! (I have to admit, when I first got the pressie it was cute but I have so many not-very-good lipbalms and the idea flashed into my mind that this might be another one of those...) Oh me of little faith...my friend knows her a*s from her elbow so I should have known it was going to be awesome. A N Y W A Y...I popped the little pot into my pocket and... it escaped! I am forlorn and hope you can help me by giving me one of the ones you have so sweetly decided to give away. Let me know!

    1. Hey there...do get back to me through here if you still have some of that gorgeous stuff available!

    2. Hello Stephanie

Please email me your address at questions (at) worshipblues dot com

  2. Very nice piece, and very nice tin! I have a little Zam-Buk made by Rose in the cream-and-green tin, but that curvy tin is much nicer!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a note, they are the stuff that keeps us going.
