The UDPP started to prove itself to be far too oily for my lids and I begun to notice strange little bumps appearing on my lids. After a period of discontinued use, they disappeared and hence the reason for my remainder tube ending up in the bin.

I really enjoy using this product and have come to rely on it entirely for cementing my shadow in place for hours upon hours at a time. We have to deal with the usual irritations of NARS' rubberised packaging but the applicator wand works well for me. I find this to be very light, easy to apply and non-greasy.

The base is an off-white shade that dries to a near clear and very smooth finish . A little goes a long way and it works well with both cream and powder shadows.
This is pricier than the UDPP but if it prevents me from getting toad-ish eyes than that is fine with me!

Thanks for reviewing this! I also like the NARS face primers too!
ReplyDeleteI noticed the same issue with UDPP but I can't stand to throw it away yet... have to suffer a few more months... but I've got the NARS waiting in the wings ^.^
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise you could get eye shadow base! I'm going to go and check it out so that I can banish those oily lids!
ReplyDeleteMy UDPP has been abandoned too as I find my eyeshadow still creases with it and it actually makes blending harder. It stays on now with the product known as "hopeful thinking" xD
ReplyDeleteI think this needs to me my next primer! I'm using UDPP and I feel like it does leave my lids feeling a bit greasy especially if I apply too much. Also read on another blog that this primer really withholds e/s for a super long time. I like it already! :]
ReplyDeletei've been wanting to try this for a looong time now, but I still have a pot of MAC prep+prime and 2 UDPP's to finish. Oh well, maybe i'll get it for myself this Christmas. ;)
ReplyDeleteI only had a little bit left. Do you notice that the more colourful UDPPs are worse offenders too?
ReplyDeleteYOu should definitely try some! I wish that i had a sample to send you!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you found something that works for you! I am going to look up this hopeful thinking business too!
ReplyDeleteYes, the NARS primer holds fast for a long long time.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the same little bumps you talk about. I'll definitely try this Nars primer. ^^
ReplyDeleteThe UDPP dried out my lids horribly. I would love to try the Nars primer now - HAHA
