It's a psychological judder; it makes me feel itchy.
With that in mind, I haven't a clue what possessed me to get the China Glaze Crackle Glaze polish in "Lightening Bolt" of all colours!
Then I remembered the idea behind this purchase. "Decaying Baroque Glam". Yes dear readers, ANOTHER vague concept from your's truly!
I used MAC "Soiree" beneath the crackle glaze.
I really wanted this nail look to suggest a once glamorous Baroque mansion that now stand tumbledown and neglected.
In reality this is a decidedly odd looking way to dress up your nails. I feel like a clumsy painter who keeps dipping her fingers in the while emulsion!
I can't make my mind up about this. I like it one minute and don't the next.
I bought this from an Ebay seller for £5.00

This is cool - usually see this effect in black or grey but I much prefer the white. Looks like ice.. jazzy ♥
ReplyDeleteI really love the Barry M crackle polish, I like the effect and watching it dry. I hope Barry M release more colours, I want this white one too! xxx
ReplyDeleteI think it looks lovely! Just the amount of weirdness I like. Yours is the prettiest crackle mani I've seen yet, since I'm not a huge fan of most color combo's I've seen out there of the non-black colors.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I feel about the crackle polishes too-sometimes I like it and other times not so much. Maybe it's just finding the right combos.
ReplyDeleteWhich seller did you buy this from? It looks very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I really don't like or understand the whole crackle trend, but your NOTD has got to be the absolute prettiest crackle combination I've seen yet. =)
ReplyDeleteah cracked nailpolish seems really popular now =0 I think the white is a little strange, I perfer the black color more. :P
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. BUT I must admit, I like the black either. I think I am giving up on this crackle shizzle.
ReplyDeleteThanks Catherine. I am not sure about this either :(
ReplyDeleteThese nail polishes are so popular recently! I have a similar one from Barry M which is black :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh i'm the opposite. I love the asthetics (and creepiness) of peeling paint or wallpaper...and i like the nails. They suit you perfectly
ReplyDeleteI like this. I can't decide if I'd prefer it with a gold crackle over white, or whether this is just perfect. I'm looking forward to the OPI silver one, not very keen on the black variants personally.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you..one minute I like this and the next I don't.
ReplyDeleteLooks soooo nice! I forgot about mine, lol. I think you picked the perfect combo!
ReplyDeletei like the idea that you have a concept behind painting your nails... i just choose whatever color tickles my fancy and go with that :P
ReplyDeleteI think it looks really cool...
ReplyDeleteI did EXACTLY what you did. With the gold base and then white china glaze crackle nail polish on top. I like it and then I don't. I think the white was too over powering on me... I think I need to try out different colors and styles to see what I really like and what makes me content! You know? Loved this post btw :)
